Food diary – 27 March

Breakfast (0830): A pot of nettle tea.

Lunch (1400): None

Snack (1710): A plain chocolate Bounty bar.

Dinner (2020): Grilled mushrooms, garlic roasted sweet potatoes, garden peas and a salad.

Dessert (2130): My mum made a strawberry flan as my going away dessert. Was really nice!

Food diary - 26 March

Breakfast (0800): 2 glasses of vegetable juice made from beetroot, carrot, ginger and fennel. I added a teaspoon of Kiki Superfood and 3 tablespoons of flax oil to 1 glass. Yum!

Lunch (1400): Vegetable pattie, a small Guinness punch (Jamaican style!) and a salad of spinach, garlic, cucumber, tomato and a yellow bell pepper dressed in olive oil and apple cider vinegar.

Snack (1710): A small pot of detox tea and a mug of nettle tea.

Dinner (1845 - 2250): 2 martinis, 2 glasses of some form of champagne cocktail (damn that bartender...), olives marinated in orange (divine), fries and sesame tuna.

Came home and gulped down 3 mugs of warm water with lemons and a little milk thistle tincture.

Food diary – 25 March



Breakfast (0800): 3 glasses of juice made from green apples, a whole lemon, ginger and 2 bulbs of beetroot. I added a spoon of Kiki Superfood to 1 glass. Yum!

Snack (1205): A medium hot chocolate made with soya milk, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Lunch: None.

Snack (1510): A large bowl of fruit (pineapple, papaya, white grapes, passion fruit, melon and pomegranate), a small pot of green tea and a mug of nettle tea.

Dinner (1818): A medium serving of fresh sweetcorn, couscous (cooked in vegetable stock) and a medium salad of avocado, tomato, garlic and spinach, dressed in red wine vinegar and olive oil.

Dessert (2130): A scoop of vanilla ice cream and a mug of nettle tea.

Food diary – 24 March

Breakfast (0740): A large pot of nettle tea, a small pot of green tea and a small piece of plain chocolate.

Snack (1150): Veggie version of bubble and squeak. Sometimes I’m so freaking English!

Lunch: None.

Snack (1627): A small cup of English tea, an oatmeal and raisin bar, a slice of wholemeal toast with marmite.

Dinner (2005): Pommes frites with a little Dijon mustard and 2 glasses of champagne.

Dessert (2200): Homemade lemon meringue pie!

Food diary – 23 March

Breakfast (0950): A mug of hot water with a slice of lemon and a mug of nettle tea.

Snack (1150): A small bowl of Duchy organic tomato and rosemary soup with 2 slices of toasted wheatfree amaranth, quinoa and rye bread.

Lunch: None

Snack (1600): A medium slice of chocolate Easter cake and 2 mugs of nettle tea.

Dinner (1850): 2 roast potatoes, steamed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, parsnips and cabbage) and 2 Yorkshire puddings with a little chutney on the side (thanks mum).

Dessert (2000): Strawberry Pavlova courtesy of my mother and a glass of champagne.

Food diary – 22 March

Breakfast (0950): A mug of hot water with a slice of lemon and a mug of nettle tea.

Snack (1111): 2 glasses of vegetable juice made from beetroot, carrot, fennel and ginger and 2 tablespoons of Granovita organic flax oil and a mug of nettle tea.

Lunch (1500): A small bowl of Japanese rice, miso soup and a mug of fennel tea.

Snack (1720): A hot chocolate made with soya milk, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Dinner (2230): Poached seabass with beetroot, potatoes and mushrooms. 3 glasses of champagne and not enough water!

Dessert (lost track by then!): Meringue with earl grey cream and something else followed by a pot of camomile tea.

Breakfast (0947): A pot of green tea and a mug of nettle tea.

Lunch (1430): A small bowls of Japanese rice topped with, a small bowl of miso soup and steamed cabbage, carrots and onion and courgettes.

Dinner (1930): Large bowl of salad made from spinach, garlic, tomato, grated courgette, grated carrot, cucumber and ice-berg lettuce and dressed with olive oil and apple cider vinegar.

Snack (2206): 4 spoons of cherry sorbet and 2 mugs of nettle tea.

Dinner (1930): Wheat-free tortilla-style wraps stuffed with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red pepper, grated courgette and a salsa made from tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, garlic and chilli (all homemade).

Dessert (2140): Small bowl of fruit (strawberries, papaya, red and white seedless grapes and an apple).

Snack (1100): Salas of cucumber, tomato, sweetcorn, avocado, spinach and yellow peppers with ranch dressing (I love this calorie laden American salad dressing) and half a litre of water.

Lunch (1400): 6 small slices of cinnamon and raisin bread with a mug of nettle tea.

Snack: None.

Dinner (2100): Grilled salmon with spiced quinoa and vegetables followed by lemongrass sorbet. Also, 3 martinis and plenty of water.

I must have consumed 3/4 litres of water - flying completely dehydrates the system.

Dinner (1900): 2 medium glasses of vegetable juice (fennel, carrot, ginger and beetroot) followed by homemade fruit salad (pineapple, pomegranate, kiwi, green apple, pear and satsuma) and a mug of fennel tea.

Snack (0930): 2 slices of rye toast and left over Duchy tomato & rosemary soup followed by a chocolate biscuit.

Snack (1320): Hot chocolate with soya milk (and nutmeg and cinnamon) followed by an apple.

Dinner (2030): Small bowl of Japanese rice, miso soup and a small salad.

Snack (1614): 1 Actimel. Approx. Half a packet of salt and vinegar crisps (naughty and I felt so ill after).

Dinner (1820): A tiny bowl of Duchy Organic Tomato and Rosemary soup with 1 slice of rye toast plus a small pot of green tea and 2 mugs of nettle tea.

Snack (2001): 3 chocolate biscuits, freshly juiced apple with a spoon of Kiki superfood and a cup of camomile tea.

Breakfast (0830): A mug of hot water with lemon and a mug of nettle tea.

Snack: None.

Lunch (1400): A small bowl of rice & peas, sweetcorn and 2 roast potatoes. Served with a small salad of cherry tomato, cucumber, avocado, garlic and flat leaf parsley. All homemade. Followed by a Fentiman’s lemonade.

Snack (1720-1800): 27 (yes, I really did count) jelly beans* and a plain chocolate bounty bar.

Dinner (1900): 2 medium glasses of fresh, organic, homemade juice: 1 with carrot, apple and ginger and the other with carrot, beetroot, fennel and ginger. Love my juicer!

Snack: None.

*only jelly type candy without (super gross) gelatine that I could find in local stores.

Breakfast (0950): A mug of hot water with lemon and a mug of nettle tea. Homemade fruit salad.

Snack: None.

Lunch (1349): 2 boiled sweets and a packet of minstrels.

Snack: None.

Dinner (1950): (Had dinner at The Wolseley) A glass of rosé champagne, grilled trout on a bed of wild mushroom risotto served with French beans and mange tout. This was followed by an individual tarte au citron and a pot of camomile tea.

Snack (2224): A mug of Dr Stuart’s detox tea and 30 drops of my gallbladder tonic.

Breakfast (0520): A mug of hot water with lemon and a mug of nettle tea.

Snack (0930): 2 slices of wheat-free amaranth, quinoa and rye toast with organic crunchy peanut butter and raspberry compote, which was served with nettle tea and fennel tea.

Lunch: None.

Snack (1245): Medium hot soya milk.

Dinner (1939): A strawberry and coconut martini, a small squid okonomiyaki and between 2 of us, we shared a bowl of edamame, 3 pieces of onigiri umbesoshi, a mixed salad, a tiny bowl of kimchi and a large bottle of still water. Dessert was a delectable serving of green tea ice cream with aduki bean paste.

Snack (2315): 1 mug of nettle tea.

Food diary - Day 10

Breakfast (0541): A mug of hot water with lemon and a small cup of green tea.

Snack (0820): Small bowl of nutrient-packed homemade fruit salad – pomegranate, Satsuma, kiwi, granny smith apple, passion fruit, strawberries and pineapple – followed by 2 slice of wheat-free amaranth, quinoa and rye toast with organic crunchy peanut butter and raspberry compote, which was served with nettle tea and boiled water with lemon.

Lunch (1330): Small bowl of left over fruit salad, a packet of minstrels and a cup of nettle tea.

Snack: None.

Dinner (1850): Vegetarian mozzarella, cherry tomato and basil salad dressed with organic olive oil, a small mashed avocado with lemon juice and garlic served with 2 multi-grain ryvitas and 3 boiled sweets. A pot of green tea, a mug of nettle tea, a mug of detox tea and some fresh apple juice (tastes so good when juiced at home) with a spoon of my favourite Kiki superfood.

Snack (2020): 1 Actimel.

Food diary - Day 9

My stomach is really sore from eating so much. Really pleased that I found time to prepare one of my favourite things – quinoa. To be honest, I prefer it in savoury dishes but had a mutually craving for it and porridge so why not! Also, had another favourite today – kimchi – I usually buy a huge tub and have a spoon in soups or whenever I fancy a quick snack. Yum!

Breakfast (0539): A mug of hot water with lemon, a mug of nettle tea and half a litre of water.

Snack (0915): Medium bowl of porridge made with quinoa, organic soya milk, organic maple syrup and nutmeg. A lovely cup of fennel tea and a mug of hot water with lemon.

Lunch: None.

Snack (1450): Small pot of green tea with a small packet of minstrels.

Dinner (1707): Bowl of Japanese soup (which I prepared with stock from my local Japanese resto) with soba noodles (my absolute favourite), kimchi, spinach, button mushroom, a yellow pepper and parsley.

Snack (1930): 2 small glasses of vegetable juice made with spinach, fennel, carrot, beetroot and ginger and mixed with 3 tablespoons of organic flax seed oil.

I’ve been unable to stop eating today...

Breakfast (0550): A mug of hot water with lemon and a mug of nettle tea.

Snack (1020): 2 slices of wholemeal, organic toast with baked beans cooked with onion, grilled mushrooms, tomatoes and a mug of fennel tea.

Lunch (1255): None.

Snack (1630): 1 medium glass of vegetable juice made from carrot, beetroot and ginger and another larger of glass of spinach, flat leaf parsley, celery, ginger and a chuck of beetroot (I can’t drink green juice, it scares me).

Dinner: None

Snack (1942): 6 lycees, 14 white grapes, a passion fruit, an Actimel, small handful of pumpkin seeds and a mug of camomile & lemongrass tea.

2 litres of Evian throughout the day.

Food diary - Day 7

Breakfast (0550): A mug of nettle tea and a mug of detox tea.

Snack (1020): 3 slices of wholemeal, organic toast with Whole Earth organic crunchy peanut butter* and a small pot of green tea.

Lunch: None.

Snack (1630): 12 jellybeans (excluding the black ones – me no likey)

Dinner (1900): 4 Ryvita with sunflower and oats with 1 organic avocado (mashed with a clove of garlic, lemon juice and a pinch of sea salt), 4 baby plum tomatoes (cut in half and dressed with extra virgin olive oil) and a mug of nettle tea.

Snack: None

Consumed a 2 litre bottle of Evian, which isn’t too bad as with all of the herbal tea, I’m getting plenty of liquid.

*Didn’t realise it contained palm oil until I started this blog. How un-PC! Won’t be buying it again.

Food diary - Day 6

Breakfast (0530): A litre of water, a mug of fennel tea, a mug of nettle tea and 3 slices of pineapple – all organic.

Snack(0942): A mug of nettle tea with 2 pitas stuffed with wild Alaskan smoked salmon, spinach, plum tomato, cucumber and alfalfa seeds dressed in lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. A mug of nettle tea and half a litre of water.

Lunch (1255): A mug of Dr Stuart’s detox tea.

Snack: Medium bowl of organic oat porridge made with Alpro calcium-fortified Soya milk, (heavenly) freshly ground nutmeg and a pick of cinnamon and a tablespoon of Shady organic maple syrup (the real stuff not that crappy flavoured corn syrup). Half a litre of warm water with 2 capsules of Flora Synergy and 30 drops of gallbladder and liver tonic.

Dinner: None

Snack: None

Food diary - Day 5

Breakfast:
1 litre of boiled water with (my daily) 2 capsules of Flora Synergy and 30 drops of gallbladder and liver tonic.

Snack: Medium sized bowl with freshly chopped pineapple, strawberries, cherries, lycees and kiwi. Mug of camomile tea.

Lunch: Large salad of spinach, baby plum tomatoes, garlic, parsley, sprouts (beans/seeds of alfalfa, mung, chickpea, and aduki), cucumber and grated courgette dressed in extra virgin olive oil and apple cider vinegar. Small bowl of rice and peas (thanks mum!).

Dinner: Small packet of Minstrels. Juiced carrot, garlic, ginger and Granovita organic flax oil = a liver flush. Doesn’t taste very nice and if you’re going to bed with someone else, try to avoid this juice – the garlic is very strong! Followed with another glass of vegetable juice: red cabbage, carrot, ginger and apple.

Snack: None.

2 litres of water – must get up to 3.

Food diary - Day 4

Breakfast:
Large mug of hot water with lemon and a large mug of nettle tea, a Braeburn (my favourite) apple plus (my daily) 2 capsules of Flora Synergy and 30 drops of gallbladder and liver tonic.

Snack: None.

Lunch: 2 mint candies, 2 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, 4 slices of pineapple with 2 mugs of nettle tea. 2 medium glasses of vegetable juice (fennel, carrot, ginger and beetroot).

Dinner: Veggie burger (wholemeal roll) with vegan cheese, 12 fries and a small salad. Sparkling water with lime. Vanilla ice-cream for dessert.

Snack: None

Managed almost 3 litres of water today!

Food diary - Day 3

Day 3 and I’ve already noticed that I’m consuming too much green tea so this morning, I attempted to go without...

Breakfast:
½ litres of boiled water with lemon, 1 plain chocolate digestive and a large mug of nettle tea plus (my daily) 2 capsules of Flora Synergy and 30 drops of gallbladder and liver tonic.

Snack: 1 Actimel and freshly chopped pineapple.

Lunch: Small smoothie of strawberries, banana and orange.

Dinner: Small bowl of Japanese white rice, 5 pieces of salmon and 4 pieces of mackerel sashimi and a small pot of green tea.

Snack: 2 Krispy Kreme donuts (heaven) and 2 mugs of Dr Stuart’s detox tea.

I only consumed a 1 litre bottle of Evian during the day - very naughty.

Breakfast:
Small pot of green tea, large mug of nettle tea.

Snack:
2 plain chocolate digestive biscuits, large mug of dandelion tea.

Lunch:
7 grilled mushrooms, 2 grilled tomatoes, 2 slices of wholemeal, multi-grain bread and beans cooked with onions and black pepper. Small pot of green tea.

Dinner:
2 medium glasses of fresh vegetable juice (2 beetroots, ginger, carrot and 1 fennel bulb – all organic). Also added a tablespoon of Granovita organic flax oil. A homemade tortilla wrap filled with diced tomato, cucumber, iceberg lettuce and a little Dijon mustard. Mug of nettle tea.

Snack: None.

Also consumed a 1.5 litre bottle of Evian during the day.

Food Diary - Day 1

I started keeping a food diary yesterday as I seem to be consuming excessive amounts of food. Here goes...

Breakfast:
Small pot of green tea, large mug of nettle tea and a Gillian McKeith Living Energy bar.

Snack:
11 twiglets and 2 sherbet candies plus another pot of green tea.

Lunch:
2 organic, homemade, wholemeal toasted pitas stuffed with wild smoked salmon, raw spinach, cucumber and tomatoes and dressed with olive oil and lemon juice.

Dinner:
Mixed green salad, edamame, salmon & avocado hand roll x 3 pieces, vegetable roll (2 pieces) and 2 pieces of salmon sushi. I drank 3 lycee martinis and a glass of rosé champagne.

Snack:
3 strawberries, 4 cherries and a tiny bunch of grapes.

Also consumed a 2 litre bottle of Evian during the day.
